How to Measure Your Feet and Read a Shoe Size Chart

The most useful size is the one you can compare with the pair in front of you.

1. Start with both feet

Measure later in the day, wearing the type of socks you intend to wear with the shoes. Place a sheet of paper on a hard, level floor with one edge against a wall. Stand with your heel lightly touching the wall and your weight distributed naturally.

Mark the end of your longest toe. Keep the pencil upright, then measure from the wall edge to the mark with a ruler. Repeat for the other foot and record the longer measurement in inches and centimeters. A second person can help you keep the mark accurate.

2. Know what the chart measures

Our tables name the measurement type when it is documented. A size-reference table may list only labeled sizes and a US Men reference. A dash means no US reference is provided for that label; it does not mean a universal conversion can be assumed.

3. Open the exact product’s Size Guide

Use the Size Guide link next to the selectors on every product page. Compare your measurement only with that pair’s table. A label such as 42 is not guaranteed to correspond to the same US size across different shoes. Where a US Men reference is available for that style, it appears in the chart and selector.

Some pairs are selected by their documented foot length and original size label because no reliable US correspondence is available. We keep that distinction visible instead of guessing a US size. If a chart provides only a labeled size or US reference, contact us before ordering if you need help comparing a measurement.

4. Consider the whole fit

Length is one part of fit. Toe shape, instep height, lining thickness and closure also affect how a shoe feels. Laces offer adjustment at the instep; a slip-on relies more on the opening and upper shape. We do not label a pair wide-fit or promise that it runs true to size without specific supporting information.

If you are between listed measurements or need a particular width, contact us with the product name, measurements and your usual reference size. Avoid automatically adding or subtracting half a size across the collection.

5. Try on with care

Try both shoes indoors on a clean surface with your intended socks. Your toes should not feel compressed and your heel should feel secure. Keep the packaging and avoid outdoor wear while deciding. If the fit is unsuitable, read the 30-day return policy.
